Lina
Youth Team Leader
Lina is an explorer; she loves solo travel all over the world. She enjoys reading about modern and ancient history. She also collects stamps and takes pictures of beautiful doorways in different countries.

Girls and Young Women’s Project Officer
Nina loves summer time, the beach and ocean swimming. On weekends, she likes running and bushwalking with her dog, Luna. Her favourite food is homemade spaghetti bolognese and mango smoothies!

Youth Project Officer
Lilly loves football and has played since she was 7 years old. She still plays and supports Messi (the best)! She loves travelling and exploring new places. She is passionate about working with young people and Assyrian history!
Murray
Youth Project Officer
Murray is a football (soccer) fanatic – go Ronaldo! He loves going to the gym and lifting weights. Finally, Murray is passionate about human rights and is a strong advocate for asylum seekers and refugees.
Galiia
Youth Project Officer
Galiia likes travelling and has visited more than 30 countries. She loves hiking and once hiked 320km! She is also passionate about women’s rights and wants to make the world a better place for all women.
Evelyn
Youth Support Project Officer

Ceara
Community Engagement Officer
Ceara loves animals (she has 2 whippets, Maya & Lucy, and a cat called Jay who is basically a third dog). She also enjoys reading with her book club, and playing sport (particularly soccer and AFL – go Sydney Swans!).
Marina
Youth Support Project Officer
Marina started working with young people in schools, shelters and community centres in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. She is a passionate capoeirista, and she loves the beach, the cinema and her grandmother’s home.
Merveille
Boys and Young Men’s Project Officer
Merveille is a big reader (of many books), and will be the first to find good art and music. He enjoys getting a good workout at the gym. On the weekends, Merveille likes to plan day trips to the beach with family and friends.
Sam
Young Men’s Engagement Officer Arabic Speaking
Sam loves working out and helping people train at the gym (Sam is a certified personal trainer!). He enjoys cooking Assyrian food, and doing photography. On the weekend he also like to go shopping and play video games.
Melody
Youth Project Officer, Newcastle
Melody is French, and lived for many years in Spain before she came to Australia. Melody and her family are very passionate about climate action. Her happy place is surfing with her best friends.
Ashourina
Youth Support Project Officer
Ash loves concerts, travelling with friends and playing sport (especially football and volleyball). She is an experienced STARTTS camper, and her favourite animals are cats. She also hopes that one day she will go skydiving!
George
Capoeira Project Officer
George has a love for traditions and cultural expression – think music and dance! He is fond of the sounds and feelings of being in nature. His favourite activity is tending to his veggie garden with his young daughter.
